Also, if you’re planning on visiting Denmark in October, allow me to politely suggest you re-evaluate your understanding of seasons and geography. This factor honestly never occurred to me once, not even in passing, until I cheerfully stepped out of the Copenhagen airport and a ghost witch made out of ice tried to wrestle me to the ground and strangle me in the gutter.

Are those even letters? I.. I can’t even, Georgia. I congratulate you on having the balls to base your entire alphabet on a doctor’s handwriting but I can’t join you in this madness.

At the entrance, some ladies checked my ticket to make sure I had, in fact, paid extra to enter the mysterious Golden Hall. Numerous helpful signs reminded me that I could not take any photographs of any of the life-changing sights I was about to be exposed to within, because other people would be broken and driven insane by its majesty and also they had not paid extra to see what was in the Golden Hall. I entered a tunnel of lights.

After several minutes of walking, Francine looked up at the façade of a restaurant and said “I hope this isn’t it!” It was. Pictures of pizza and burgers lined the building. Huh. Smoke was pouring out the front door. Huh. We went in. Inside, it was like a hookah bar before the invention of fans. Or a house fire. A smoke detector back in the kitchen blared nonstop.

Nobody ever told Tajikistan not to accept candy from strangers or tunnels from Iran. They don’t have Pinocchio in Tajikistan so they had no idea that the fox is an asshole and if you follow him you’re gonna end up on an island full of donkeys.
